The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is alarmed with regard to the high quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The assistance place produced for intervention encounters a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that office to attend SRD to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this here reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to empower the servicing of all prospects and increase access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
